British Cycling Guided Rides are aimed at making it easier for you and others to get out and enjoy cycling at your own pace, with other like-minded cyclists who are there to enjoy the experience of being out on a bike.

All guided rides are organised by volunteer Ride Leaders who have been trained by British Cycling to be able to offer a safe and enjoyable experience, tailored to the aspirations and abilities of the riders wanting to take part.

With a wide variety of rides on offer from short and easy-going to long and challenging, on road, trail and off-road, thereโ€™s something for everyone wherever you are in the country.

My Guided Rides

I organise and lead a number of Guided Rides in and around the Brandon area of West Suffolk throughout the year.

The majority of these are on the traffic-free fire roads and trails of Thetford Forest, providing a generally peaceful environment to enjoy a social ride without the hassle of dealing with other road users.

There are two series of rides that I regularly organise, both of which are planned with different levels of rider confidence and ability in mind. Check out the pages below to see if my rides might be just the thing that you’re looking for.

About The Rides

The Forest Heath Five

The ‘Forest Heath Five’ rides are aimed at those of us new to riding (or just new to riding trails), if you’re wanting to back into cycling after an extended break or if you’re just looking for a social ride with others at a gentle pace.

Rider Testimonials

Slide 1

"Ross said 'the aim was to have an enjoyable and social meander through the forest at a pace thatโ€™s comfortable for everyone', and it really was.
Iโ€™d actually forgotten how nice it is to ride on these forest trails, the pace was perfect, if you wanted to stop, weโ€™d stop, if not weโ€™d keep meanderingโ€ฆ
I will be going again next month. So if youโ€™re like me and want to do a bit of cycling again, but know doing a cycle ride on your own wonโ€™t happen because youโ€™ll talk yourself out of it, sign up for this. It really was great.โ€

Please note: If you would like to come along to any of my rides, please make use of the Let’s Ride Website to register your interest. For insurance reasons, I’m limited on the number of riders that can attend each ride and those who have signed up on the site will be given priority.
