“It doesn’t matter where you ride, what you ride or how fast you ride. All that matters is that you ride.“
There are a whole host of cycling related events, challenges, groups and programmes out there to make your riding an even more enjoyable experience. Whilst a lot of the things you’ll find here are located in Suffolk and the East of England, there are similar things happening all over the country.
Guided Rides
British Cycling Guided Rides are designed to make it easier for you and others to simply get out on a bike without the added issues of deciding where to go.
Organised and led by qualified volunteer Ride Leaders, guided rides can provide easy access to rewarding cycling activities, no matter your abilities or aspirations.
Rides & Challenges
If you’re looking to gain a sense of achievement from some of your riding activities, then taking on a cycling challenge or being part of an event could be just the thing.
Whilst challenges are quite often a longer term thing over a few weeks or even longer and can often be done on your own, cycling events generally take place on one day with a number of other cyclists coming ‘along for the ride’.
Cycle Routes and Trails
One of the questions I’m asked quite a lot is “Where can I ride?”
In this section I’ll add routes and trails that I’ve ridden, many of which are in Suffolk and Norfolk, and will hopefully provide some inspiration for places to go and do a bit of riding.
When I can, I’ll also add suggested routes for other areas of the country. Who knows? Perhaps a cycling holiday is just what we need.
